![]() I guess just keep these things in mind: 1) Avoid posting major spoilers if you describe what the title is about 2) Include helpful info such as: - # of Episodes - the Rating (e.g. Suitable for All Ages, Mature Audience) - Genre (e.g. Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Comedy, Slice of Life)

Some of my recommendations (I might post more in the future):
* Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple # of episodes: 50 Rating: PG-13 Genres: Martial Arts, Action, Drama, Comedy http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/...tiest-disciple * Fighting Spirit (also known as Hajime no Ippo) # of episodes: 75 (76 if you include the special "Boxer's Fist") Rating: PG-13 Genres: Boxing, Action, Comedy, Drama http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/...ighting-spirit Also some TV Specials and a second series "New Challenger" (26 episodes) * Sekirei # of episodes: 12 + some specials + second season "Pure Engagement" (also 12 episodes) Rating: Mature Audience Genres: Action, Comedy, Romance http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/tv-shows/sekirei * Gantz # of episodes: 26 Rating: Mature Audience Genres: Action, Drama, Supernatural http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/tv-shows/gantz * Golgo 13 # of episodes: 50 Rating: Mature Audience Genres: Action, Drama http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/tv-shows/golgo-13 * Basilisk # of episodes: 24 Rating: Mature Audience Genres: Action, Drama, Ninja, Romance, Historical http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/tv-shows/basilisk * High School of the Dead # of episodes: 12 Rating: Mature Audience Genres: Action, Horror http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/...ol-of-the-dead Some people may not be willing to invest a lot of time for a series with hundreds of episodes e.g. Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, Pokemon so I tried to stick to some shorter series and tried to avoid listing any super well known stuff (You came to this thread for something new right? Not something you've probably already heard of or seen already)

I recommend Vandread. Very underrated series! There's action, comedy, some serious stuff, a great dub and appealing characters. Shame it was relatively short, but it's definitely enjoyable.
* Vandread # of episodes: 26 Rating: PG-13 I guess (not much content that's really objectionable but obviously a little kid shouldn't be watching it) Genres: Action, Sci-Fi, Comedy http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/tv-shows/Vandread/

Black Butler (Tatum and Palencia)
26+ episodes Teen Ouran High School Host Club (Tatum, Mignogna, Haberkorn, Ayers, more...) 26+ episodes Teen Full Metal Panic (Mignogna, Patton, Rial, more...) 26+ episodes 18/Adult Nabari no Ou (Palencia, MacDonald, Ayers, more...) 26 episodes Teen Baka and Test (on the surface kinda silly, you have to listen close for the brilliance) 13+ episodes (Brina Palencia plays twins, boy and girl. In one episode the boy wants to pretend he's his sister. Its amazing to hear Brina Palenica "tune-up" her voice from male to female character.) Teen xxxHolic (pronounced Holic) (Clinkenbeard, Haberkorn, Palencia, Tatum, more...) 24 episodes Teen Spice and Wolf (Palencia and Tatum) 13 episodes Teen Wolf's Rain (Crispin Freeman, more...) 26+ epsodes Teen There's alot more amazingly acted anime to list, like Full Metal Alchemist, but that's pretty long and popular, anyway. It took awhile for me to even consider Naruto but I have really been enjoying the story and the original Japanese cast. I dont care for the American cast, too much, though. I think its a bit over-acted in an already rambunctious tale. IMO. :-) I really liked High School of the Dead, too. Still working on seeing some of the others mentioned in previous posts. I'm an obvious fan of J. Michael Tatum, Vic Mignogna, Brina Palencia, and Colleen Clinkenbeard, among others. Last edited by RaleighDahling; 03-29-2012 at 11:15 AM. Reason: Forgot to add genre. Lets just call them all: Great Stories Amazingly Acted! |

![]() I've heard good things about Higurashi no Naku Koro ni but never set aside time to watch it. I've seen some reviews comparing Shiki to it, maybe it is something I'd like and should give it a chance (guess I could also update the BTVA page at the same time) ![]() I also heard good things about Tiger & Bunny. I'll definitely watch that in the future too. |
