Okay, I listened to a few audio dramas, some new and some from a while back, and I learned this from both experiences.
In animation, people see the character and must determine if your voice fits. This also adds something because you usually have an image of the character to work with. In audio drama, you have NO imagery. It's all about sound, so you have to put as much work into your voice as you can to make sure people visualize just what the character is supposed to be. And, since you don't really have a picture in hand, you have to rely on imagination and experience, too. |
