3. King Zarkon from Voltron
4. Mum-Ra from Thundercats
5. Starscream from Transformers

And with an honorable mention to Vegeta from Dragonball Z. But thats from an Anime and I get the feeling this is for like older american cartoons.

actually avatar is not anime. It's an american cartoon inspired by anime and asian culture.

The design is similar to anime even though it's not. Similar to the Wolverine and the X-Men cartoon. Uses similar animation but it's all U.S.A.

For my picks I decided to go with villains who are originally based from cartoons, than characters adapted for cartoons:

1. Mojo Jojo: He’s the BEST example of everything I want in my cartoon villains: Takes himself serious, but is interpreted as over the top to audience; Makes silly actions, but still a competent threat. The best depiction of him being hilarious is the special episode, “The Powerpuff Girls Rule”. His best depiction of being menacingly evil is the movie, which is my favorite storyline in the series. I HATE the anime for depicting him as an incompetent-boob.

2. Demona (Gargoyles): While being a tragic character, her methods behind her motivations are indeed despicable. You can feel sympathy for her, but her backstory doesn’t forgive her actions.

3. Aku (Samurai Jack): What he lacks in being a 3dimesional character, He makes up for being menacing and to actually control the world.

4. Mom (Futurama): While some of her motivations & decisions are pitiful, she’s the only other female villain I feel proud of including on my list.

5. Ice King (Adventure Time): I LOVE him, but I’ll admit he’s the dorkiest villain on my list.
