That's a pretty solid cast, and I'd be all for it (especially Kassir as 'Screamer). Personally, I need to hear a more heroic Clancy Brown voice before I come to a conclusion because his main voice is too villainous for my Prime tastes. :D

I came up with that because with that since Jamieson always dubs most of Joji Nakata's charecters and he happened to voice Megatron in Galaxy Force.

Nice list, Autovolt. If I had to pick the "shining stars" of your list, I'd really love to hear the following:

-Paul Dobson as Megatron: I always felt his Dr. Doom/deep tough guy voice could work for Megatron.
-Ty Olssen as Bulkhead: He's got that deep "dumb" (no offense, Ty) voice that would be a good match for Animated Bulkhead.
-Alvin Sanders as Porter C. Powell: His voice matches perfectly with that character. In fact, he played a very similar character in Yvon of the Yukon, a parody of the boxing agent Don King, who resembles Powell.

*Michael Dorn (Worf from Star Trek but I think he'd protray Optimus much like Mata Nui from Bionicle)

*Crispin Freeman (I think he'd be more fitting for a younger Optimus Prime than David Kaye David was good but it could be more gruffer)

*Jonathan Adams (He's more known for his villianous roles but I think as Optimus Prime it'd be a great way to show off his versitility. )

*Rick D. Wasserman (He can be gruff and I can see him giving Optimus that stoic but kind to humans approach like he does with Thor)

For Megatron:

*Clancy Brown (Very Obvious casting idea, though I'd try to have him voice Megatron in a deeper gruffer voice like how he does Savage Opress to make him sound different than how he does Silas in Prime)

*Miguel Ferrer (His voice is quite deep, he can give Megatron in a colder logical tone much reminisant of the TFA Megatron.)

*Travis Willingham (Give him a few more years, he could potientially voice Megatron. He can portray a charismatic villian like Mastermind in the X-Men anime)

*Keith Szarabajka (He could play Megatron up as a regal and somewhat arrogant conqueror like he does with Ronan the Accusuer and the Harbringer)

also the only reason I don't have Ron Perlman on here is because I want him to voice Gigatron/Overlord. Jim Cummings I too have considered but I think he'd work better as Scourge (He's more RID and Cybertron based than G1) Can you see him voicing Scourge in a Jeremy Irons esque voice.

May I ask why you have this sudden rage against Bay because of Silverbolt? I'm assuming you're referring to that article that stated James was voicing Silverbolt? There's one little problem with your anger: Bay had no intentions of including Silverbolt in any of his movies and never once said anything about casting James Avery.

These were all rumours that were only "confirmed" by Avery's representative. They weren't confirmed, or heck, even acknowledged by Bay. Not once - not ever, not in any of those interviews or any interviews at all - did Bay state to have a.) wanted to include Silverbolt or b.) cast James Avery. Notice how NONE of those interviews mention Bay's involvement at all? Notice how they all say that James Avery himself is stating this? Or that a representative of James Avery's was stating this? Bay never said anything on the matter.

This would be like me starting a blog about how "I HATE CHRISTOPHER NOLAN HE WAS SUPPOSED TO CAST ROBIN WILLIAMS AS THE PENGUIN BECAUSE IT WAS TRUE ACCORDING TO ROBIN WILLIAMS REPRESENTATIVE THIS IS ALL NOLAN'S FAULT WHY DID HE LIE TO US?! NOLAN WHY DO YOU FATE THE FANS?!? F**K YOU NOLAN EVEN THOUGH THIS HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU!!", when Christopher Nolan never once had that idea or intention. I don't hear people saying "Screw you, Jon Favreau, because you said you'd cast Ian McShane as Ultimo!". Why don't I hear those complaints? Because Jon Favreau never once said he'd cast Ian McShane as Ultimo. I haven't read any complaints about Kenneth Branagh lying to us about casting Shyla Stylez as Enchantress in Thor. But why haven't I heard those complaints? Because Kenneth never said anything about casting a porn star as Enchantress, nor did he have plans to. So why are you upset at Bay? For lying to us about Silverbolt? Because he never lied about that. You can't lie about something you had nothing to do with. Are people just looking for another reason to hate on Bay (believe me, there are plenty) and decided to use this example despite having nothing in the slightest to do with Bay? Which, unfortunately, betrays the fact that people don't bother to actually read the words in front of them.

Yes, maybe at some point in time this was actually considered, but as we can all see, not only did it NOT make it into the movie, but no where does it say anything about Bay's involvement with the decision. For all we know Bay had no idea this rumour was even going around. It could've been a mistake by Avery's representative who was misinformed, or overheard something wrong or whatever. The point is, this casting news was a rumour that was apparently "confirmed", and then promptly disproven, all without Bay.

Now, I'm not calling you out personally on this, Aussieroth, but this is why I absolutely can't stand some Transformers fans out there (Note: I am a Transformers fan myself). They will scrounge for any reason to start hurling the "F**k you Bay! You ruined my childhood forever you are a disgrace he was the worst choice he is so stupid!"-insults without even bothering to do any research or actually read the interviews.

Whoa! Mate that was unnecessary! That was meant to be humourous.

I won't hide my disdain for Bay though, his transformers movies were just awful (ROTF in particular was insulting, parts even harmful) but they didn't destroy the franchise, a lot of smart people said they didn't like it for the same reasons the majority did.

As for Bay himself... I did research that man. Everywhere I look... I'm surprised that he's even still involved in directing, very few people liked to work with him. I remember someone calling him a "nice douche bag." Gotta admit that's kinda funny.

I don't know him as a person so I can't judge, but as a director... he's easily in my bottom 10, hell bottom 5.

I just hope the TF reboot or remake will come soon, because James Cameron once said he's still interested in doing it (and that was told to me by a voice actor involved with Transformers.)

So yeah, that was meant to be a joke, Bay should not be called a director and... I'm sane XD.

Also for the record.... I can't stand some of the TF fanbase either. Think they're bad though? Try the Final Fantasy fanbase! UUUUGH! FF7 may be my fave in the series (and in my op the best one) but I am so SICK and TIRED of people RAVING about it!

Whoa! Mate that was unnecessary! That was meant to be humourous.

I won't hide my disdain for Bay though, his transformers movies were just awful (ROTF in particular was insulting, parts even harmful) but they didn't destroy the franchise, a lot of smart people said they didn't like it for the same reasons the majority did.

As for Bay himself... I did research that man. Everywhere I look... I'm surprised that he's even still involved in directing, very few people liked to work with him. I remember someone calling him a "nice douche bag." Gotta admit that's kinda funny.

I don't know him as a person so I can't judge, but as a director... he's easily in my bottom 10, hell bottom 5.

I just hope the TF reboot or remake will come soon, because James Cameron once said he's still interested in doing it (and that was told to me by a voice actor involved with Transformers.)

So yeah, that was meant to be a joke, Bay should not be called a director and... I'm sane XD.

Also for the record.... I can't stand some of the TF fanbase either. Think they're bad though? Try the Final Fantasy fanbase! UUUUGH! FF7 may be my fave in the series (and in my op the best one) but I am so SICK and TIRED of people RAVING about it!

I think fanbases in general (except for the BTVA fanbase) are stupid. ;)

To go slightly off-topic (but at least things aren't hostile any more), to discuss a potential Transformers reboot/remake, just remember one thing: Just because it's not Michael Bay doesn't mean it'll be good. Believe or not, a reboot/remake without Bay doesn't guarantee that it'll be super great or not suffer from the same problems. :) Consider Punisher: War Zone (2008) compared to The Punisher (2004). Was War Zone really any much better or worse? Or The Amazing Spider-Man compared to Raimi's trilogy. For all the flak that Spider-Man 3 gets, TASM didn't really offer anything spectacularly new. It was just sort of...there. It was a reboot for the sake of doing things slightly different. Wasn't really much better, wasn't really much worse. There's just as great a chance of a reboot of Transformers being AWFUL AND CRAPPY (or let's say "on par with the original") as there is a chance of it being SUPER GREAT and blowing Bayformers out of the water. Yeah, we could get something that's great and does more justice to the franchise...but we could also end up getting something that does poorly at the box office, has negatively received designs and doesn't really improve on the mistakes of Bayformers. Food for thought.

Well... Yeah I could've delivered that joke better. And... as for the TF fanbase... well it's the GEE WUNers you've got to look out for XD. Otherwise... my god, that is such a strange yet passionate fanbase.

And true about the reboot... but the reboot did have more effort put into the one before.

As for Michael Bay, I don't like Bay's movies because of... well, his "patterns." Seriously, all of his movies are practically the same thing: Fast action, explosions and close ups of cleavage and booties. It's just annoying, and then when he did that and showed almost no creativity with the TF franchise... Just, SKids and Mudflap. Enough said. Granted he wasn't responsible for ALL the bad stuff but he takes the majority of it.

I don't like it because of the confusing, stupid and in a few cases harmful choices made, not because it's not G-1 XD. He claimed he tried to go for character development and what not.... well, if he truly did, Optimus wouldn't have flames XD XD XD. I'm sorry I had to!

Again, depends on the director. I did a director's course and I can tell you, they can get WAY too much power! They only thing they can't control is time and some cases money.


Anyywaaay I think with the right director, producers and actors, we could get something amazing. Say if we get James Cameron in the chair and Joss Whedon with the pen (along with Krutzman and Orci if they're still up for it) with Peter and Frank reprising their two big roles, we could get something as brilliant as The Avengers or The Dark Knight. It's in there I know it!
