Glad to see that Speaking Bumblebee is making a return. Radio Bumblebee is fine for the movie world, and R2-B2 was all right for Prime (and thus, RB by extension), but Will's voice is so good for him.

The idea of Megatron destroying his voice box in battle is cool, but I think they need to expand upon it. At least with Radio Bumblebee, there was no scratching your head as to how people understood him. Expressing emotion through body language and using funny radio clips to communicate is a completely valid form of communication. But with TFP and RB, I always rolled my eyes whenever Bumblebee would beep boop and another character would have to pull a C3-PO and translate "That's right, Bumblebee, it's far too dangerous!" >.> While everyone else is just standing there waiting for a translation or straight up having NO CLUE what he said. Or having a character be magic and be like "I dunno' how, I can just understand him". Because audible binary code from an alien voice is something that children can inherently understand, I guess?

I'd love for James Marsden to voice Bumblebee at some point.

Gilvezan and Friedle are my personal favorites. Bosch follows right behind.

Although I must address something: a lot of people don't like the 'silent' Bumblebee, and I completely understand that. However, I think that the Prime version shouldn't be shunned like the live-action movies. I say that because 1) They gave him a great background on how and why his voicebox was destroyed, and 2) they take advantage of it by having him emote feelings and after a while of watching the show, you can even begin to catch on what he's trying to say/what he feels. These opportunities were completely missed in the Bayformers films, which is a major letdown as the trilogy progressed. I don't think TFP should have to fall into the same pit of abhorrence simply because it followed a trait of the films. If anything, they improved upon it.

Had to get that off of my chest.

I want to know who "performs" his voice with those synths and sound effects. Like Ben Burtt on WALL-E, the sound engineer has to do his own acting!

I have to say, I'm not really a fan of the constant "silent" portrayal that Bumblebee's been getting lately. Dan, JYB, Bumper, and Mark's voices all gave Bee the warmth that he needed. It just kinda bugs me that they're doing it not for story-relevant purposes, but just to be more like the movies. Hopefully he'll be voiced in Fall of Cybertron.

@NCZ As much as I like the movies, I too agree with you. 'Silent' Bumblebee is okay, depending on the circumstances, but I really think they're overplaying it. It worked fine for "Transformers". I was willing to accept it in "RotF" and I learned to live with it in "DotM". TFP? Okay, they're trying to be like the movies in that regard. Rescue Bots? Well, it's tied in with TFP so that's why. FOC? I...guess... I just hope that it doesn't continue on past then.
