@partymonster411 Probably mostly for her other roles like The Little Engine who was the lead role in that movie!

Why is there no picture for Claire Corlett? She's really active on youtube and it doesn't seem like it'd be particularly hard to get a picture of her.
Might not be very high quality, but it'd be better than the question mark she has now.
As for the voting, I didn't vote because the only real animated shows I watch is MLP, and I didn't feel my voting would really reflect the skill of the actors.
I might start watching Transformers, though. Hasbro sure is churning out good shows with their IP.

I'll say it again: Frank Welker does a great job as Garfield's voice, but the quality of the actual Garfield show isn't great, especially in the writing and animation.

@Dogman15 Well, luckily for him these awards have nothing to do with the quality of the show but simply the quality of the actual voice acting.

Oh man, very difficult to say which voice actor is the best. I would probably go with Kevin Micheal Richardson or Steve Blum. For the actresses I'm going with Laura Bailey with Grey Delisle at a close second.

Tom Kenny for Male Voice Actor of the Year. I would give this to him for Ice King alone, but Spongebob and Rabbit make this an easy choice.
Jennifer Hale for Female Voice Actor of the Year. She is the reason that I insist that Commander Shepard should be female. A performance that you can really invest yourself in.
Ashleigh Ball for Breakthrough Voice Actor of the Year. Truly an impressive range. I look forward to hearing her in many more things.
Jeremy Shada for Best Vocal Performance by a Child. Finn is easily one of the most endearing animated characters in recent memory. This kid is why.
Bill Farmer for Best Vocal Interpretation of an Established Character. This was the hardest for me to chose, as Grey Delisle is every bit as good. I just feel that Goofy is more iconic, so my vote goes to him.

I seriously hadn't heard any of the child VA's, but after listening to them all, Creber and shada were both on top.. Had to go for michelle after listening to some interview on youtube. She's awesome
Replysaid at 10:32 AM on Wed Mar 21 2012
Michelle Creber's really talented, she voiced Apple Bloom and provides Sweetie Belle's singing voice, so I'll have to vote for her.

I think it will be hard for alot of these to win... because some of them play pony voice actor parts...
And this seems preeettyyy popular with Bronies...
VOTE FOR ALL THE PONIES (but I voted for Finn because im not biased :3 )

Laura Bailey deserves to win purely for her excellent performance as Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood!

Nolan North, easy.
But... Hale or Strong? Tabitha St. Germain would get my vote over either of them, however.

Finn, Applebloom, Or Sweetie Belle? GAAAA! This is a difficult pick! They're all great child VA's, decisionsdecisionsdecisions...

Yeah, have to say: I couldn't, in good conscience, blindly vote all in favour of MLP. I love Strong, but to unseat Grey DeLisle? Madness. That entire section was ridiculously hard to pick through in general. Hale, DeLisle, Wahlgren, Bailey and (of course) Strong. I seriously love all their performances.
Also had to vote for Shada. Again, I quite love what Creber and Corlett add to the characters, and they're very pleasant, very talented people, but Shada absolutely nails his role as Finn.
Luckily, the male category was a bit easier to pick through. Not easy, mind, but a lot less hairpulling than a few of the others.
I still voted for Ashleigh, though. The girl has a serious set of pipes, and some amazing range.

Okay, yeah. I'm a brony and I voted for pony actors. But I DID listen to some of the other nominees. Not all of them, I confess to that, but I did not just vote for ponies because ponies. I did listen to some other voices but in the end all of my votes went to pony anyway. So, NCZ and others who think we're ruining the fun... tough luck. I have my free will and I intend to use it.
...execpt for in the case de Lancie. Sorry, I voted for him just because he's Discord. There was no other option. Sue me.

@Cizak If you legitimately think they were the best performances, that's fine. My problem is with people voting solely for the ponies and not giving these other great actors a chance.
Replysaid at 5:06 PM on Tue Mar 20 2012
@Cizak I have never said it is ruining the fun at all. I am enjoying all of this immensely actually. What you guys don't realize is that WE were ultimately the ones who put the nominees together and through they were worthy of nominations. I personally, nominated both Creber and Corlett in the 'childrens' category so please just keep that in mind :)
Replysaid at 2:42 AM on Wed Mar 21 2012
@OptimusSolo: Maybe Madeline Peters will get nominated next year. I'll admit Scootaloo didn't speak as much as Apple Bloom or even Sweetie Belle in the episodes that have aired so far.

@Cizak
I also tried to find good samples of the shows I did not know about. But it took too much time and effort. Supposedly some of the VAs have sample clips on this site, but I could not find any (starting to assume they are delivered as Adobe Flash code, and that's why I cant see them)
We need a good list of videos (to see how the acting fit the scene), in an easy to watch way.

@Cizak First of all you ARE supposed to listen to all of the nominees BEFORE you cast your vote(s) in order for this to be a fair contest. All of these VAs gave stellar performances and the BTVA team worked so hard to put this whole contest together. It's ok if you really do like the MLP VAs the best, but try to give everyone a fair chance.

Frank Welker may do a great job as Garfield's voice (copying Lorenzo Music), but the animation quality (like lip-sync) on "The Garfield Show" could be a whole lot better.

Honestly, I think Creber is the clear winner in her category. not only a good actor, but a good singer, too
Replysaid at 2:35 PM on Tue Mar 20 2012
I had to give the vote for Michelle Creber. She May voice Applebloom, but she Sings for AB and Sweetie Belle's parts, and my, my... She is a pro! The Hearts and Hooves day song... You realize she's singing against her self there! She lays 2 of the vocal track to that one song, and it was ADORABLE!!!
Add to all that, the fact that she has actively participated in the fan community, with livestreams, singing, and even collaborative works with other artists...
Plus Applebloom's voice is cute! :D
Michelle wins hooves down!

For me, the Male Voice Actor of the year comes down to Corey Burton and Kevin Michael Richardson. They had some great and diverse roles in 2011.
For Female Voice Actor of the Year I know Tara Strong is going to be the popular choice but Grey DeLisle really deserves this one. Look at her roles from 2011!!!
For Breakthrough Voice Actor I have to give it to Alyson Stoner even though they all are deserving!
As for voices of established characters I am too impressed with Welker's Garfield to go with anyone else!

For me, the Male VA of the year is easily Nolan North. His performances as Deadpool in U/MvC3 as well as in Arkham City have put me through almost endless fits of laughter.
The Breakthrough VA is too difficult for me. I though Alyson Stoner, Matthew Mercer and Sumalee Montano have all done brilliant performances. But my vote will be for Sumalee.
