Long live the Sand.

Pretty interesting to see that Emily Neves was nominated for a CG role where she did the motion capture and the voice of Trig.

That's funny. My choices for Male Lead and Male Supporting ended up being the Official winners.

@Fulgore2005 You have good taste, sir!

@NCZ Hahaha. Thank you, NCZ. But seriously, I thought it was wonderful that the nominations/awards for anime are separate. Can't wait for the Video Game Awards.

Picked Berserk, Kevin T. Collins, Carrie Keranen, Matthew Mercer, and Emily Neves. I was this close to picking Marc Dirason, Troy Baker, and Jamieson Price.

Best Vocal Ensemble in an Anime Movie/Special: I voted for Berserk
All the returning cast sound even better than their work on the TV series (which was also great).
If you’ve never watch, read or heard of Berserk (shame on you) and do yourself a favor and watch this movie. It’s not a perfect adaptation but it’s a great way to get new fans invested into the franchise.

Best Male Lead Vocal Performance in an Anime Movie/Special: I'd like for Marc Diraison as Guts or Kevin T. Collins as Griffith to win. However I wouldn’t be surprised if Vic Mignogna, Johnny Yong Bosch or Troy Baker won. They all have a lot of fans. Dave Wittenberg’s work as Kakashi is also popular (even haters of the Naruto dub seem to acknowledge that his voice is pretty great and one of the dub’s strengths) so he could win too.

Best Female Lead Vocal Performance in an Anime Movie/Special: I’m actually still deciding. This category IMO seems to be the most balance and where the VAs competing are pretty evenly matched. However the FMA fanbase is extremely bias so Maxey Whitehead might win.

Best Male Supporting Vocal Performance in an Anime Movie/Special: I'd like for J. David Brimmer as Zodd to win. He sounds even better than before and his voice has great presence! It’s always a treat to hear him in something.
I also liked Jamieson Price as Volton and Bob Carter as Ron Portman however I’m not sure if many fans watched the dubs of those movies.
The winner will probably either be Derek Stephen Prince as Uryu (Bleach is popular), Matthew Mercer as Melvin/Atlas (FMA won the People’s Choice Awards for all categories last year) or Liam O’Brien as Gaara (possibly his most popular role and for a good reason). I decided to vote for Liam in the end.

Best Female Supporting Vocal Performance in an Anime Movie/Special: Just like the Lead Female Movie/Special I’m also still deciding. Another balanced category where the VAs competing are pretty evenly matched. Wouldn't be surprised if Alexis Tipton won (another nominee with bias votes from FMA fans). I think the nominees were better to be honest.

Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works got my first vote with Liam O'Brien as Archer getting the next for male lead and Hilary Haag from Children Who Chase Lost Voices as the female lead.
For supporting, I had to go with J. David Brimmer from Berserk and Alexis Tipton from FMA.

Voted for my favourites, as you know i love all you VA's out there. Always the most fun @ cons.

Maxey Whitehead is a great VA, but no one does Alphonse Elric like Aaron Dismuke...

Tara Platt is an amazing voice actress.

Bleach: Hell Verse, Troy Baker, Michelle Ruff, Matthew Mercer & Kate Higgins receive my vote.

No Arrietty love? I thought Bridgit Mendler was surprisingly good in that.

1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th category i had too do the fullmetal cast. They all did a great job in that movie. I have too be biased though cause i havent actually seen the other movies. but for 4th category i chose Liam. He does a great job with gaara, its one of my favorite voice acting jobs

Berserk and Sengoku both have awesome casts but in the end I chose Sengoku

I voted for the bleach movie but then ended up picking the cast for the FMA movie...but I feel like it was deserving bc really Vic is a slightly better VA than Johnny...(plus I voted for Johnny somewhere else) if I had paid attention though I would have voted Derek Prince, but its a bit late for that....
I chose Maxey because I truly love her work even though she's fairly new to VAing
and I chose Alexis Tipton mainly bc she was the only one i recognized...which sounds bad but i did like her performance as Julia so i guess it wasnt a completely wasted vote...i guess we will see!~

All the ensembles seem deserving for this, but I ultimately went with Children Who Chase Lost Voices, though I'm a tad biased since I felt more comfortable voting for an actual "film" anime not connected to a series. Arrietty was good too, but David Henrie was a little miscast as Shawn (his acting was good though, I thought). It didn't seem to work out as well as James Van Der Beek in Laputa (a very similar casting choice).

Kevin T. Collins is unbeatable as Griffith. He really sounded like he was fascinated with Guts, but we're not sure how. I'm not sure I would've gotten that through an average performance. Plus, that voice he uses sounds so elegant, but also somewhat mysterious at the same time.

Luci Christian sounds so hilarious in the Gintama movie! It's one of her best pieces of work, and that's saying a LOT. Once again Luci proves she's a force to be reckoned with in the dramatic AND comedic departments.

Liam O'Brien is excellent as Gaara, and that's saying a lot considering I don't even really watch Naruto. Jamieson Price is probably a close second.

Cassandra Lee is my pick for Supporting Actress. Like Kyubei in Madoka, she's great in "cutesy" roles. She's even better here than she was in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. She's becoming quite a rising star. Jessica Boone is probably a close second, and Rachael Lillis was good too.

Derek Stephen Prince ftw :D I was almost about to give up on this nominee list. He is in one of the most popular anime right now, not to mention his long list of roles. They had to put him against Liam O' Brian tho :'(

I wish King of Thorn had been an option for ensamble, I love that movie. Voted for FMA since it's the only one I've seen.

This year has really been great year for anime and great stories and strong performances. Great anime series , such as Bleech, Deadman's Wonderland , Heaven's Lost Property Forte, Is This a Zombie?, Sekirei Pure Engagement, etc, etc, etc a nonstop RollerCoaster Ride Thrills, Chills, Drama, and Big Laughs. It's really been hard to chose.
Thank You.
Please keep giving us great entertainment, and great anime!!!
We should be watching!!!

Female Lead: It's between Maile Flanagan as Naruto and Maxey Whitehead as Alphonse. Both are good, but I'm gonna give it to Maile, 'cause while I enjoy Maxey's performance as Al, it does sound a little too much like a little girl, which is a little distracting.

Male Supporting: Liam O'Brien as Gaara, no question. Like Itachi, Gaara is one of the most layered and developed characters in the series, and having such great material to work with gave Liam O'Brien a lot to work with and he turned in an excellent performance. I also like his vocal evolution between Naruto and Naruto: Shippuden; he's a lot less gravelly and a lot more refined in the latter, which worked well for the character's new position as the leader of his village.

Vocal Ensemble: I picked Naruto: The Will of Fire, but it was definitely a close race with Berserk.

Male Lead: I'm glad Marc Diraison has returned for Guts. Nobody could have done the role better than him. Dave Wittenberg and Kevin T Collins are excellent too.

Female Lead: Maile really gets the job done with Naruto. Maxey, Emily, Michelle and Carrie also have great performances as well.

Male Supporting: A treat to have J. David Brimmer back. The category has no pushovers though, considering Bob Carter, Matthew Mercer and Ben Diskin have also done well.

Female Supporting: Emily Neves' Trig is perhaps my favourite performance in Starship Troopers. Also enjoyed Kate Higgins, Tara Platt, Cassandra Lee Morris and Rachael Lillis too.

@Fulgore2005 Oh, I forgot to mention that Liam's Gaara deserves a honorable mention for Male Supporting too.

Man, I LOVE the passion Marc Diraison puts into his voice! Not to mention, J. David Brimmer has only gotten better as Zodd.

It makes me wish the former was still Zoro and the latter was still Gol D. Roger. Granted it's great that One Piece is getting a more proper dub, but I just sort of wish that some of the better 4kids performances were salvaged.

Oh well, maybe that's just me. At least they still have Berserk and I should just be grateful for that. (Hell I should probably be grateful that these actors are getting any work at all! They really deserve it.)

Emily Neves is Kanade "Tenshi, Angel" Tachibana on Angel Beats and Kotomi Ichinose on Clannad, as well as Primaria on Needless, married to Andrew Love (VA), she's awesome...
