About MightyMoose

My name is David Ko, though you here at BTVA know me better as MightyMoose. I'm a 21-year old Music Therapy major at Florida State University.

I've always loved voice acting, whether it be for cartoons, movies, or video games. The fact that you could bring a character to life using only your voice has fascinated me since the beginning. Growing up on classic cartoons such as Animaniacs, and Pinky and the Brain, I had plenty of role models for making goofy character voices. While I've never attempted to make it big as a voice actor, I find it to be one of the most entertaining hobbies a guy can do in his spare time.

Experience-wise, I'm pretty new to the whole field. I have theater and musical experience to help prep my voice and lungs for whatever they have to do, but most of the time, my voice acting has involved me sitting in my room doing ridiculous voices for no one in particular. (I can, however, claim to be a very amateur video game voice actor, being featured as a minor character in an underwhelming cheerleading game for Wii. Life hands you some funny stuff sometimes.) Despite my lack of professional voice-acting experience, I like to think I'm good at what I do. It's contests like this that'll really help me to improve my skills in the long run, so I'm very thankful for the opportunity no matter how far I get!, you're still reading? Good for you!

When I'm not making funny voices into a microphone, I enjoy composing music, singing, drawing, the occasional round of Smash Bros, short walks on the beach, and swing dancing. I'm also a big fan of a cappella music, and am the current music director of FSU's all-male a cappella group, Reverb! I've covered a few video game a cappella tracks on my YouTube channel (MightyMoose64) for anyone who's interested.

Final Fun Fact: I'm a member of the Homestuck Music Team, having composed songs such as "Vagabounce," "Wacky Antics," and the recent barbershop cover of "I'm a Member of the Midnight Crew." That singing voice? That would be me.

First line began narratoresque, picked up at "am I worthy of this fight?" I liked line 2ís transition from reluctancy to assertiveness. Line 4 was believable, though sounded like a different voice at times. Essentially, just work on staying consistent.
