About MOM0KIMomoki, I live in the US and Iím 15-years-old. Iíve been voice acting for 3 years now, and I actually have only been taking it seriously for about 1 year. I tend to over react when given a critique that is not a critique, like ďyou suckĒ. I enjoy getting real critiques and improving flaws. Iím honestly more of a singer then voice actress. Regardless, itís my dream to become a voice actress, so I hope one day I can work with my idols! The first year I was voice acting, I really didnít know what was going on. I honestly just made auditions. I would do impersonations of characters like Konata from Lucky Star or something. Once I figured out that there was more to voice acting then that, I started making fandubs that werenít really serious at all. I made a friend who was actually a finalist in season 1. Shleepers and I started voice acting together. We made lots of bad fandubs together, thinking we were all that. Soon, we realized we were really bad. She was always better than me though, so I always strived to do better when working with her! I met lots of other people who helped me grow as a voice actress, as shleepers got WAY better in a super short amount of time. Once this year started, I decided it was time to get serious! I made a new account on YouTube and started to work with people. I got to work with someone sort of popular (as a singer) and he did a lot of work with me, which gained me a small fan base, which Iím still super honored to have. I got a lot of offers to be in stuff, much of which have yet to be released, though more of the things I was requested was singing. When I submitted my audition for the AYVO contest, I honestly didnít think I would make it in. I made my audition in 5 minutes or so, and submitted it. To my surprise, I made it in. None of my friends who took hours on their auditions made it in, so I felt honored and proud. Round one was scary for me, because my microphone was screwing me over and my time was minimized because I had to leave for camp, so I had no time to fix it. That performance was definitely not my best, and I know Iím going to give it my all in this competition, since I donít want to show another bad performance. I got to meet some of the other finalists, and theyíre all amazing people! Itís gonna be super saddening to see any of them leave, and to see myself leave the competition. Even though I donít think Iíll win, Iíll definitely do my best!!!
You obviously were one of our strongest Auditions but something about your recording quality really distracted me here. Not sure if its the equipment, the volume levels, how close you are to the mic or what.Agrees (7) Disagrees (2)
While your voice fit the character, some lines were a bit underdone. Line 2, for example, picked up at the end. I can see where this is coming from, as Chun Li is pretty reserved, but itís something to watch for. You have potential, so keep at it.Agrees (3) Disagrees (2)
The strong lower toned voice sold on the attitude and overconfidence right away. Acting was superb. You hit so many different emotions right on the nail. And great choices on emphasized words. Only nitpick was she came across as mildy angry/peeved.Agrees (12) Disagrees (2)
Momoki, I think you completely redeemed yourself from last round!! You listened to the feedback, fixed the audio problems and Aced it this round! My #1 Rainbow Dash voice and THIRD overall finalist this round!Agrees (8) Disagrees (2)
Excellent emotion in lines 2, 3, and 4, plus the slightly-rough voice and enthusiastic delivery nailed Rainbow's personality. Very strong performance as a whole!Agrees (8) Disagrees (2)
You had a solid performance here, my only issues were the second line felt a bit forced for Arcee and I don't think there was enough of a difference in your two character voices. Your 2nd BA line was the highlight, liked the laugh!Agrees (7) Disagrees (4)
Arceeís voice was very fitting and the lines sounded believable, esp. monologue 2. Blackarachnia wasnít too distinct from Arcee, but it was a good voice so I could forgive it. You really got the sultry first monologue and the wickedness of the second.Agrees (5) Disagrees (2)
