(Lex Luthor has become President and due to his actions, the world is now in a state of war. Superman arrives to try and stop Luthor once and for all and says it's because of the people (the population who elected Luthor) that he didn't stop him sooner)
"The people? This is all their fault. And they're going to burn for it. Buuuuurn. (Superman calls Luthor a mad dog) Ooooooo, a threat? But this old dog still has a few teeth. (Luthor is about to press a button that would unleash an unknown weapon and Superman tells Luthor there's many ways he can stop him) But they all involve deadly force don't they? And you don't do that. No. You need me. You wouldn't be much of a hero without a villain, and you do love being a hero, don't you? The cheering children, the swooning women - you love it so much, it's made you my most reliable accomplice! You could have crushed me any time you wanted. And it wasn't the law or the will of the people that stopped you - it was your ego. Being a hero was too important to you. You're as much responsible for this as I am! So go ahead, fix it somehow. Put me on trial, lock me up - but I'll beat it. And then we'll start the whole thing all over again."

(Sinestro lectures the human Green Lantern Hal Jordan about showing weakness and compassion in front of criminals after a murderer eludes them because of Jordan. He also vents his frustration about his superiors reluctance in using their power rings to enforce more authority on criminals throughout the universe)
"Let me tell you, friend. The only way to operate out here is by fear. They hit, I hit harder. They attack, I annihilate. I am the one constant, unassailable force against their chaos and you made them forget that. You think I enjoy this? Look at the universe the Guardians have created. We have the greatest power in the cosmos and what have they made us? Garbage collectors! We pick up the trash. A thief here, a killer there. Scum, dirt, filth! There's no end to it, but there could be. It's my dream that one day all of this rot will be wiped away. A new order will prevail, one that will end the chaos but it won't be built by the faint of heart. You got soft on me back there, Earth boy, and that I will not tolerate. "

(Catwoman's real persona, Selina Kyle is at a museum benefit and sees an exhibit of an extinct black leopard and reminisces in her head about when she used to be Catwoman)
"Poor baby. I used to be just like you. A child of the night, wild and free. I was the cat who walked by herself. The city was my hunting ground. I prowled Gotham each night. Going where I liked, and taking whatever I wanted. (Referring to Batman) Until I met him. I gave him my best, but in the end ... kitty got her claws clipped. (Remembers when she narrowly escaped going to jail and was put on good behavior probation) Had to promise I'd be a good little pet and walk on a leash. Even if it killed me. (She now talks out loud to her friend, Bruce Wayne) Extinction. I can relate to that. Giving up Catwoman hasn't been easy Bruce. I miss the excitement, the danger. Sometimes I feel so tempted. (Bruce reminds her, giving in to her temptation would lead to prison) Tell me I'm not in a cage now. Look Bruce, it was sweet of you to invite me, but I don't fit in here. Sometimes I feel like I don't fit in anywhere."

(Harley recounts the time she first realized she was falling in love with the insane Joker. The following is read as psychiatrist Dr. Harleen Quinzel)
"It soon became clear to me the Joker, so often described as a raving, homicidal madman ... was actually a tortured soul crying out for love and acceptance. A lost, injured child trying to make the world laugh at his antics. And there, as always, was the self-righteous Batman. Determined to make life miserable for my angel. Yes, I admit it. As unprofessional as it sounds, I had fallen in love with my patient. Pretty crazy, huh?"
((Having finished telling her story, Harley contemplates her situation. The following is read as Harley Quinn)
"Face it, Harl, this stinks! You're a certified nutso wanted in twelve states and hopelessly in love with a psychopathic clown. At what point did my life go Looney Tunes? How did it happen? Who's to blame?... Batman, that's who. Batman! It's always been Batman! Ruining my life, spoiling my fun! Coming between me and my Puddin' from the very beginning."
PgirtsAt this point it's all up to the voters so all I have to say is, Best of Luck Pgirts on making it to the finals! Agrees (9) Disagrees (3)I love the anger, the inflections. I could definitely see you as Sinestro. Has a great tone for him. You can see his anger for the guardians and Hal. I liked the 2nd take best. But both were equally great. Agrees (13) Disagrees (4) | MewVenusAt this point it's all up to the voters so all I have to say is, Best of Luck MewVenus on making it to the finals! Agrees (3) Disagrees (4)I like the 2nd take much better here. I got more of the feeling there. The first line was less emotional and more of Harley raving. I felt the 2nd had just the right amount of feeling in how she talked to herself as well as how she acted about her predica Agrees (4) Disagrees (3) |
WolfwingsAt this point it's all up to the voters so all I have to say is, Best of Luck Wolfwings on making it to the finals! Agrees (5) Disagrees (3)The lines seemed a little over acted. It wasn't bad but this one's not as believable. It almost seemed like there were too many pauses in there from the take. Agrees (4) Disagrees (3) | StingervoiceAt this point it's all up to the voters so all I have to say is, Best of Luck Stingervoice on making it to the finals! Agrees (7) Disagrees (2)The takes here had the right feeling to them overall. There were a few instances where I felt there could have been more authority portrayed but it was a good take with the right emotions and inflections to it. Agrees (5) Disagrees (2) |
