Listen to all the screams of all who have fallen before me. Messatsu... Happy Birthday, Tomomichi Nishimura! Out of all the men whom voiced Akuma/Gouki, he was by far the best fit for the character and knew how to get the gist of what he represents just right. Pre-SFIV, Akuma had one of the most memorable voices in the franchise - and it's *all* thanks to this man.

Speaking of Street Fighter, Nishimura's take on M. Bison/Vega is also rather good. To say the least he suits the dictator's villainous aura. However, he's still much better at tackling the Master of the Fists than the mighty Bison himself.

This guy was the best Akuma. Hands down.

His Akuma was the best though, no questions asked.

Proof the original isn't always better. Wakamoto's M. Bison/Vega was way better. Having said that, he still was pretty good as M. Bison.

This guy just ruled as Akuma. He and Keith Burgess were by far his best voices. And, until SF4 came along, he was THE voice for Akuma, playing him in basically everything. Taketora did an okay job in that game, but man, Nishimura was great.

@NCZ I definitely agree. Tomomichi was a beast when it came to performing Akuma. I especially praise the voice direction in both Street Fighter III and Capcom vs. SNK 2.

And as you said about Taketora being decent as Akuma, I could sort of say the same for Nishimura voicing M. Bison in the past. He was alright, but nowhere near as supreme as the almighty NORIO WAKAMOTO!!!!!
