 1 Shout Out!
Have a Very Happy 41st Birthday Robin Atkin Downes.

It amazes me how Varied Some of My Favourite Roles from Him are : Luxord, Baron Zemo, Steam Lantern, Moon Knight, Captain America, Travis Touchdown; The List Goes on and ON!!!

That Being Said, Mumm Ra is Hands Down My Favourite Role From Him. I found Him to Perfect in the Role of That Monstrously Decrepit Sorceror.

I Really hope that Robin Atkin Downes Gets to Voice him Again in Another Thundercats Show. I honestly Can't Hear Anyone Else in the Part.

Happy Birthday Robin Atkin Downes!

My top 10 favourite roles of his are:

1.) Medic (Team Fortress 2)
2.) Baron Zemo (The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes)
3.) Abomination (The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes)
4.) Manchester Black (Superman Vs. The Elite)
5.) Travis Touchdown (No More Heroes)
6.) Dormammu (Marvel Heroes)
7.) Kazuhira "Kaz" Miller (Metal Gear Solid)
8.) Annihilus (Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H)
9.) Steam Lantern/Gil Broome (Green Lantern: The Animated Series)
10.) Thunderwing (Transformers Prime: The Game)

It was great hearing him in the most recent season of Transformers: Robots In Disguise voicing in two different episodes as Flamesnort, Jacknab and Pilfer. Especially as the latter two, now that is some amazing range from RAD I didn't think was even possible. Jacknab especially, so high pitch and sqawkish. That's a voice I never thought Robin was actually capable of of. Massive Props. Flamesnort was not too far off his Abomination voice but it fit rather nicely.

It's a shame that RAD wasn't brought back as Travis Touchdown for the new No More Heroes game, I hope they change as their minds on this even though that's most likely not going to happen. Shame really, it was one of Robin's best roles in his career.

It's also great hearing RAD on Voltron whenever he's cast in an episode too.

After hearing his Riddler, I can't help but feel he'd make a good Doctor Octopus, ala Ephrem Zimbalist Jr. I don't know why it's only hit me now, since he's voiced more overtly German characters before.

Doe anybody else think that he voiced The Dominators in the CW's Heroes vs Aliens 4 part crossover?

He's not even in the top 100 most popular VAs on here? I find that crazy! I guess he doesn't get many well known roles outside of the Medic or people just can't get familiar with him cuz he can sound so different from role to role. He needs more leads/TV roles.

Robin is perhaps one of the more versatile VA's that I've heard in many of these video games that he's starred in. Also he is great at accents.

One of my favorite British VA's. Gideon Emery is second place. Robin has a massive range and it's always a nice surprise to find that his voice was in a game & you never knew it was him. The medic from Team Fortress 2 is his best role by far.

It's just mindboggling how many games there are where you look them up and go, "THAT was Robin??" He really does have an amazing range. He plays roles like a damn fiddle.

Happy Birthday Robin Atkin Downes!

Excellent VA with an excellent vocal range and extraordinary with accents. The Medic from TF2 is easily my all time favourite role of his, with Baron Zemo being a close second. I don't know why it's his German accented characters that I like most but I just do.

I also loved his performances as Abomination, Dormammu, Moon Knight, Mr. Fantastic, Manchester Black, Gentlemen Ghost, Steam Lantern, Alfred, Jack, Travis Touchdown and Mumm-Ra.

It was really surprising to see that he had reprised his role as Abomination in the very hard to find dub of Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers.

While Robin has dubbed Japanese games before, this is his first anime role.

I hope eventually down the line we get to hear him in another unionized anime dub, like if they ever made another season of Tiger & Bunny, I could so see him having a role in that.

It was cool that he got to have roles in both Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad despise how mixed to negative the reactions to the movies were.

and I also enjoyed his performances in Voltron: Legendary Defender.

Happy Birthday Robin Atkin Downes!

Like Phil LaMarr, he is great in anything he does. The worst you could say is that he's good. In every role, I can't really explain it, but there's this ... presence he brings to that character.

Very surprised to see how little of his roles are on the site. I only say that because I recently found out that he has been in more video games than Nolan North.

@solidejake Believe us, we know how incomplete the site is. That's why we rely on hard-working members to help us find images and information for what we lack. So you can always help us fix this "problem" with Robin by requesting more roles in the forums. ;)

@TylerMirage I hear you bud. Once I finish Resistance 1/2 (already beat the third), I personally will gather all images and info related to those games for the site. Downes is in every single Resistance game as a different character oddly enough. And I do apologize, I didn't mean disrespect saying that you guys needed to hurry to add his roles or anything, I was just surprised.

This guy has a such a range, I can't even tell its him until I see the credits. I'm glad to see he gets plenty of work. He's right up theire with Dee Bradley Baker as the next Frank Welker.

Robin was the Soccer Announcer in Battleship and the Ship Computer Voice in Prometheus quite interesting to see that his voice can be heard in some mainstream blockbuster films this year!

@IAMTHEVASTUNIVERSE Wow, really? I watched "Battleship" but I didn't even look to see if there was any possibility of voice-acting in it. When I buy the movie(s) when it/they come out, I'll definitely check the credits and add it, if that's the case. :)

@TylerMirage Yep he is credited in both films which is quite cool in itself considering voice actors aren't always given to many opportunities to be in such well known films!
