@Music Meister I agree, especially since he lost the role of Eeyore. Optimus is pretty much all he's got these days, and as flawless as he is in that role, I'd love to hear him in other stuff too.

@NCZ It's a freaking crime that he lost Eeyore too. Whoever decided to replace him should be fined.

@PsychicVoiceSpy By fined I of course mean a nice wad of cash for criminal stupidity. :D

Happy birthday, Optimus Prime.
But seriously, Peter Cullen always rules as the above character.

I kind of wish that he did more voice acting now a days than just optimus prime!

It's interesting how the voice he's best known for is so widely associated with a heroic character and yet it works just as well with villainous types.

@CatsTuxedo Agreed! It almost even works better with villains!

About time Peter Cullen got 100 credits!
As much as I like some ADR VAs we do need more prelay VAs with 100+ credits.

@Jackson_H Yeah I have been trying to get him there for a while. Luckily there are so many different Eeyore incarnations otherwise it may not have ever happened.

Peter Cullen's narration for the Toonami bumps & promos are fantastic..its shame that he doesn't narrate anymore..he was truly great at it..he is going to be in an upcoming documentary called The Voice Gods of Hollywood..it will be coming out in theaters on June 20th this year.

Eeyore: Hello, Optimus.
Optimus: Hello, Eeyore.
Eeyore: I just found out, not gonna be me anymore...
Optimus: Eeyore... WHOS BUTT DO I KICK?!

I agree.
Peter as Eeyore was one of those few cases where successor surpassed predecessor: there simply was so called ;something; when he played Eeyore, he clearly understood character and enjoyed being with him all these years.
I am still grieving that this favorite role of his was unfairly taken away from him.
Than again, what Disney does this days usually is nothing but a failure or self-centered addiction to moneymaking crap, darnation!

Leave it to Disney to "go in another direction" and leave Peter behind on one his more popular roles as Eeyore. I can say I always loved Eeyore and even more because it WAS Peter behind the character. Just makes me angry Disney did that, who knows what they were thinking, if they were thinking at all. Bad form Disney, very bad form.

Happy birthday, Peter! Hopefully he'll provide the voice of Optimus Prime for years to come, and maybe he can return to the role of Ironhide as well.

I dearly apologize for my rude language previously, but nevertheless i was heartbroken wehn peter informed that he wouldnt be Eeyore anymore: it was one of those few times when takeover actor proved to be even better than original one, and i will always see Cullen as Eeyore.

When I heard that Cullen was not going to be voicing Eeyore anymore I nearly cried. That donkey as well as other things Cullen has done has gotten me through some real tough times in my life as well as good. Sounds crazy but it's true.

I remember when the first Transformers live film came out in '07 and his voice came out of Optimus, the entire theater cheered. His voice defines the character.
