I still can't get over the fact that Paul "Tigger" Winchell not only made an artificial heart but the first one. That's so cool

Happy Birthday Paul. My biggest reason for being a voice actor, and one of the greatest entertainers who ever lived.

May you rest in peace.

The brilliant acting roles of this man as Dick Dastardly, Tigger, Bubi, Zummi Gummi, Marmaduke, Gargamel and Clyde are the gate to the career and life of truly, truly talented and kind-hearted soul.

His whole career which started from Major Bowers radio contest in the 1930s up to playing Dick Dastardly. His wonderful ''Winchell and Mahoney Time''. His roles on ''The Beverly Hillbillies'', ''Brady Bunch'' and ''The Dick Van Dyke Show''.

It's a blessing that he overcame all of his early life problems. Some people say that he could be very moody and times, but whatever you read about this man. Know that deep down he was a good person, who endured a lot, and do not judge him but hope that one day you will be judged by him. His daughter April once said that one time when they were having dinner at a restaurant, several fans came to his table asking for his autograph and praising him. He stood up and graciously conversed with every one of them. When she asked him why he did that, he told her: "Do you like the food? Do you like your clothes? All this is thanks to those people.

Without this man, I would seriously not even be here. Paul is not only one of my favorite voice actors, he's one of my favorite entertainers, People in general, and my biggest inspiration in the business. I know people will say that Mel Blanc or Frank Welker inspired them the most in the voice acting industry, but Paul is the reason I'm even interested in the entertainment industry.

When I was 7 years old I discovered Paul Winchell was a ventriloquist as well as the voice of Tigger, so I started learning more about Paul, and the horrible life that he had was just heart breaking to read about. An insane mother, he was in the hospital a lot of his life, but he pushed through and got into ventriloquism. Paul not only knew how to entertain children, but he knew how to entertain anybody.

If you were sad Paul always knew how to put a smile on your face no matter what. Paul was an underrated genius, a wonderful entertainer, a brilliant ventriloquist and voice actor, and I can not thank him enough for getting me interested in this industry. R.I.P. Paul you deserve it after all you have given us.
