 1 Shout Out!
One of the best Japanese VA of all time. Sure he has become pretty memeworthy due to how much he hams it up, but he brings life into all the roles he does.

Wakamoto is a pretty great actor, but its kind of fascinating how DIFFERENT he acts from now and in his prime. These days he really hams it up. But, back in the day, his acting is just so sharp and awesome. Either way, still one of my favorite Japanese voice actors.

Reason why he's a memetic face in voice acting is because he uses the same voice for everything; aside from badass villain roles, he goes out of his way to play an entity is meant to fit his voice rather than the other way around.

Thus, from there, simply hearing a voice like his on anything is meant to be ridiculous, hammy, and funny as hell. XD

This guy's overrated IMO. People make him out to be the be all and end all of Japanese VAing, but he's not even as good as other VAs like Toshiyuki Morikawa, Ryotaro Okiayu and let us not forget Takehito Koyasu, a VA, who sounds DIFFERENT in every role. Compare Zechs to Mu La Flaga. Nothing in common. Compare Chiyo's dad to M Bison. It sounds the same! Wakamoto has NO role, where he sounds different. Everything sounds the same. The latter Koyasu, is pure underrated and unappreciated, despite the fact he's the most prolific VA in Japan and one of the most prolific VAs in the world. Wakamoto isn't GARBAGE, but he gets to much praise for sounding the same in every role, yet people have the right to say that about JYB and Chris Sabat.

Probably THE MOST Bad Ass voice actor i know off. He can make anything sound cool. I mean he even sang the intro for Lucky Star and it sounded awesome.

Norio Wakamoto has a impressive, distinctive, arresting voice with a grand sound and delivery. He's an enormous talent, and as far as I'm concerned, the definitive voice for every character he plays.
