@TrueMyriad It's still unconfirmed, and Nicole's voice is a good deal lower than Tear's.

@NCZ what if any of us decided to try and contact her in a way, or get in contact with voice actors who have been in the same games as she has, like Yuri Lowenthal, Johnny Yong Bosch, or Wendee Lee and Michelle Ruff.

@TrueMyriad All of the voice actors record separately, so they almost always do not know who else is in the game when they're dubbing it. There's pretty much no information on Nicole Karrer on the web, such as a photo, website, or method of contact, so the chances of finding out that way are slim. And since the dub is non-union and not credited, the voice directors and other such crew members wouldn't be willing to reveal such information either.

@NCZ On imdb,
Megan Hollingshead is confirmed for the original Persona 4
Nicole Karrer is comfirmed for Persona 4 Golden
And We all know Mary Elizabeth McGlynn voiced Naoto on Persona 4 the Animation

@TrueMyriad
4 problems with that:

1) Naoto has the same voice between P4, P4A and P4G

2) Hollingshead was contacted by a fan but deconfirmed the character (see the character's page on this site for more details)

3) Like it or not, Karrer isn't confirmed for anything past the 3 games that bear her name. Her involvement in Ace Combat stems from the description of a DC Douglas video and Tear from pure vocal similarity.

I will humor you, though, and note that a video by AtlusUSA pops up when you search her name even though her name is in neither the description nor the comments. A cold lead worth a smirk, at least.

4) Never put your full trust in a source that is merely secondary.

@rosebr10 Well all of your points are valid. I guess we will never know, but we could still just assume who we think. Thanks for the info rosebr10. Same for NCZ.

Found out she did naoto in persona 4. Wow, that was unexpected.

@doodleboy There aren't any sources to confirm that.

I don't think I've ever heard Naoto's voice before, but in all three games it's that same Rondo/Tear tone (moreso Tear). And wouldn't you know it the first result for "Naoto voice" just so happens to specifically be about her changing her pitch. Cassandra's SCIII ending has Sophitia come pretty close to it to that pitch.

Naoto is the key to Karrer's range. Even if we didn't know her name the similarities would have been realized eventually. They were with Rondo and Tear, and now Tear extends to Naoto. This is why Karrer intrigues me so much; low key but so unusually distinct. With Persona, Soul and Ace Combat her worklist becomes more much solidified.

 3 Shout Outs! [?]
Nicole's voice was a really good fit for Tear. It fit her distant exterior/warm interior very nicely. It was also a nice breath of fresh air, hearing some new blood when Tales games post Symphonia generally use a rather small talent pool. However, I know I'm not the only player out there who feels her acting could've been better. She sounded rather monotone, even when Tear was saying a line that required more energy or emotion (two examples that immediately spring to mind: "Luke, stop." and "It's so cute.") I will say that this is probably a direction issue, since there were a fair number of lines from many other characters that could've been delivered better.

Now, it has been almost six years since the game came out, and she was credited in Soulcalibur V so it's cool to know she's still doing voiceovers. It'd be interesting to hear her voice in more things and with better direction, because she has some potential as a VA.

Between Tear's sternness, Rondo's villaneous depiction and Morgan (Female)'s lighthearted nature, I'm pretty sure Karrer was "Femme Fatale," Elysium and Sophitia in the Soul series.

Ever since I first heard Sophitia in III with "I'm ready to fight you" I've felt that she couldn't be the same person who voiced her in II. Holmby's portrayal was so upbeat and after that she was just so mellow.

@rosebr10 Yeah, I know for sure she's one of the customization voices in V, and that Diane Holmby definitely doesn't voice Sophitia from III onward. Not sure if it's her as Sophitia--the inflections are similar, but it's hard to tell from the voice alone, since she has relatively few voice acting roles that I know of (mostly using the same voice) and I can't find a demo reel (or heck, any info) anywhere online, so I'm not truly familiar with the extent of her range.
