Nicole Jaffe

Nicole Jaffe

Birth Place: Canada
Date Of Birth: 1946
Voice Over Language: English

Trivia & Fun Facts:

Velma was Jaffe's only voice role.

Like her character, Jaffe was myopic and needed glasses or contacts to see. At the first voice recording rehearsal for Scooby-Doo, Where are You!, Jaffe accidentally dropped her glasses and cried out something to the effect of "my glasses! I can't see without them," which became a trademark gag and catch phrase for Velma.

Was asked to audition for the voice of Velma after being seen by Gordon Hunt in a performance of "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown" as Peppermint Patty.

Jaffe retired from acting after getting married to Burbank native Brad David in 1973 and getting a job as an agent for the William Morris Agency.

Was a talent agent of the late Whitney Houston and was subsequently thanked at her funeral by Whitney's sister.
