Happy Birthday Nicholas Cage.

Don't ever stop acting. You've provided us with so much entertainment over the years especially for being the best part in otherwise shlockfest movies.

Nicolas Cage goes well with anything. For example: Japanese Pachinko commercials.

You want to know something interesting. His uncle is Francis Ford Coopla (The director of The Godfather Trilogy, Apocalypse Now, Bram's Stroker's Dracula, and many other movies). Looks like you do learn something new everyday.

I just recently saw him in Red Rock West. He is now officially one of my favorite actors of all time!!! Some of his shouting sounded a bit silly (F*** MEXICO for example), but no big deal.

Anyone else watch the Community episode about Nicolas Cage. "Good or Bad Actor?" Danny Pudi also gave a great impression

Happy birthday, Nicholas Cage. Aside from being a very solid actor overall, there aren't many actors out there who can rival him in terms of pure ham and entertainment value. I guess you could say he's a... national treasure. *puts on sunglasses*

It seems my last comment was deleted. Eh, no big deal. Long story short, I wasn't a big fan of his at first, saw him in the Family Man, Face-Off and Moonstruck, loved him ever since.

Apparently he's been named the greatest actor in the World, nay Universe. This is fantastic news to me.

Thy considered hiring him to voice Shrek, but he turned it down.

Biggest missed opportunity of all time, right there.

@Mrguy22594 Nicolas Cage won an Oscar for Leaving Las Vegas. Just saying. Also, he was pretty awesome in Face/Off.

Finally, the Speckles clip is proof enough that he has some real vocal talent. Cage can act damn well if he has good material.

@Mrguy22594 Adaptation? The Rock? Con Air? Kick-Ass? Moonstruck? Raising Arizona? The Weather Man? His (awesome) cameo in Grindhouse? Are you saying those are all bad movies? Not to mention, National Treasure is loads of fun if you take it as the lighthearted romp that it is. Curious, have you seen Cage in anything other than The Wicker Man? It's a shame that too many people jump on the anti-Cage bandwagon because of some of the movies he's done, when really, he's a much better actor than most give him credit for.

@NCZ THANK YOU. Personally, he's one of my favorites. He's an actor I almost always like seeing for some reason, even if he gets plenty of bad roles.

@NCZ You want a movie where his talents are exploited to the best and possible degree?

Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call - New Orleans

Personally, it's my favorite role of his. He truly is an underrated actor in my eyes. Even in the bad movies that he's in (particularly the Wicker Man), you always have to admire his fearless demeanor and determination to go over the top in his performances. Even film critic Roger Ebert said it best in a review of one of Cage's movies (the same one I just listed actually):

"No one is better at this kind of performance than Nicolas Cage. He's a fearless actor. He doesn't care if you think he goes over the top. If a film calls for it, he will crawl to the top hand over hand with bleeding fingernails."
