Happy Birthday Mona Marshall!

She is easily one of the best VA's for when it comes to young boys. Izzy from Digimon is one of the few castings from the Adventures dub that I think held up over time. She is a perfect for this computer genius kid and hopefully she'll reprise for Digimon Adventure Tri if or when it gets dubbed.

She was also excellent as the young Shirou Emiya, Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (young), Wen, Kaite and her many roles on South Park.

I haven't watched Doraemon but I know for a fact she is perfectly cast in that role.

Youre cool as a classic voice of Linda Stotch.

Wow, she had 200 rolls!? That is amazing! I remember the first time hearing her as Izzy and never thought she was still voice acting for all these years! I'm so glad to know she's still voice acting for her age.

I'm quite impressed that someone of her years can still sound like a little kid.

Did finding out the fact that she is damn near every female voice on South Park throw anyone else at first?
said at 1:58 PM on Mon Jul 28 2014
That "fact" has been, and apparently still is, greatly exaggerated.

Having heard her in anime first, it never ceases to whelm me how anyone could make that easy of a mistake.

@Spiralpower1620 She's only about half, give or take. Whatever roles April Stewart doesn't get, they give to her. However, sites like IMDB get Stewart and Marshall mixed up a bit, and that was the same case when Eliza Schneider was the main actress. It gets hairier when they cast other actresses for other bit girl parts, but fans assume Marshall or Stewart for everything.
Marshall is also Annie though, it's the same voice she uses for Red.
It seems like the South Park credits will take a long time to possibly sort out for this site, due to old fan-guesses and misconceptions being circulated a lot.

QFT. I'm enjoying the dub a lot more than I thought I would. Her performance is great!

Mona Marshall is a terrific voice actress with so much range, and you can always count on her for excellent dramatic and especially comedic delivery. Her boy voices are among the best in the industry, and she's perfect as Shu in Blue Dragon. She's brilliant on South Park, and she continues to shine in anime like Fate/Zero. It's amazing how great, even in her 60s.

The only role from her's I don't like is Ryoko in Tenchi Muyo, but I chalk that up more to being a bad miscast and poor direction, and I don't blame Mona so much for that. Every voice actor has at least one bad role, and I think the Tenchi fans are way too harsh on her.

@PurpleWarrior13 IMHO, I think the reason she catches so much flak for her Ryoko role is because she ended up replacing Petrea Burchard, who couldn't reprise Ryoko for whatever reason.

I find it funny how unlike most voice actors, who start off in anime and then slowly transition into western animation she started out doing western animation and then slowly transitioned into anime.
