Happy Birthday Jason Wishnov!

I wasn't too fond of his Byakuya at first, but around the third case of the game is where he really started to nail it IMO. He plays the morally gray, yet surprisingly likable "jerk" character quite well I'd say. He also sounds kinda similar to Crispin Freeman's Touga IMO.

It's cool to see he played one of the "Mono" characters in the third game too (though it will be a little while before I play that one)

 1 Shout Out!
I wonder why he doesn't have many VA roles. I liked his Togami (even though I will admit that I preferred Josh Grelle) and he has a pleasant voice that I'd like to hear more of. For example I could easily see him showing up in HunterxHunter or Fire Emblem Heroes.

 3 Shout Outs!
I sure hope he gains more major roles by next year, cause he seems to be not cast in as much anime if you think about it.

Indeed. Jason doesn't seem to be a voice talent that's utilized often.

@MizukaS From what I understand, prior before he started doing voice work he also founded the video game studio, Iridium Studios so currently he's now working as a video game developer due to the increasing competition of the many students that are taking the Ax Idol and "Adventures in Voice acting" workshops that Bang Zoom! has been aggressively putting out the last 5-6 years.

And because of the ever increasing competition of new students that Bang Zoom! been putting out, many people that have started out in VO eventually stop doing it either because they didn't find the job as enjoyable as they thought, or they had a hard time against the other new up-and-coming actors during VO auditions that resulted them to stop working in these fields all together. Jason Wishnov, Alan Lee, Caitlin Chang, Sean Finkle, and especially Shelby Lindley have ALL been affected by this all because Bang Zoom! has been aggressively utilizing in their dubs these days: Erica Mendez, Erika Harlacher, Erica Lindbeck, Ray Chase, Max Mittelman, Brianna Knickerbocker, Bryce Papenbrook, Robbie Daymond, Xanthe Huynh, Zach Aguilar, Ryan Bartley, Faye Mata Cristina Vee and especially Kira Buckland.

And it isn't limited to these actors from above the ever increasing rise of many people taking the AX Idol and Adventures in Voiceacting workshop has caused many veteran voice actors to stop auditioning for new roles like but also several other voice actors are also being affected and getting less anime roles at BZ!, Johnny Yong Bosch, Stephanie Sheh, Steve Cannon, Grant George, Todd Haberkorn, Karen Strassman, Sarah Anne Williams, and to a lesser extent Patrick Seitz. Even the likes of Derek Stephen Prince and Tara Platt when they were interviewed by the Ohio Guys mentioned that it has gotten a lot more competitive compared to when they started off 10-20 years ago.

I especially still would like if Anime companies in California (Viz Media, Aniplex, and a lessr extent Netflix) would utilize other recording studios that do anime dubbing around California: Studiopolis, NYAV Post, Salami Studios, SDI Media/Spliced Bread Productions (Knights of Sidonia), Deluxe (Little Witch Academia), New Generation Pictures, Central Command Studios. Cause having them just use Bang Zoom! over and over just makes it feel they re-use the same actors and not showing variety and I like to see variety just like what Studiopolis and NYAV Post do with their dubs.

The union status of the anime/J-game project matters, too. Not just the studio. And as long as it's a different series, I don't really care if LA wants to cast the same set of VAs over and over again. 'Sides, new VAs pop up in dubs every year.

Jason's take on Byakuya is great... if Josh Grelle never voiced as the same character in the first place. By comparison, Jason is just a beef jerky while Josh is a 10z beef steak.
