He knew young children and how they thought and operated, and that's what drew the attention of both the child audience and the adults in a similar field. He had the right voice, the right speaking pace, and the good know-how to appeal to children and send a message to them.

I was in Middle School when I learned of his passing. Even at that age when I was distancing myself from children's shows, it was a heavy hit. Mr. Rogers truly was a wonderful man and I still miss him, even into my twenties.
