This guy is my voice acting idol. Also one of the many voice actors who's inspiring me to become a voice actor myself.

Happy Birthday Frank Welker!

He truly is The Voice God, he's truly one of the most talented VA's of all time...I mean he's practically the voice of almost every animal character in everything made in the past couple of decades.

My favourite roles of his would have to include Megatron, Galvatron, Soundwave and his minions, Skywarp, Fred Jones, Scooby-Doo, Dr. Claw, Nibbler, Booker, Sheldon, Bo, Ray Stanz, GoGo DoDo, Runt, Ralph the Guard, Thaddeus Plotz, Odin and of course all of his creature voices.

I'm glad that a veteran VA like Frank has been fortunate to be getting just as much work like he did back in the 80's and 90's and still be able to play alongside his friend Peter Cullen to this very day.

I only just realized how brilliant this guy was when I saw him make a monkey distress call in a zoo and monkeys ACTUALLY responded to him. Really wish I could have seen more of his famous roles when I was younger and TV addicted.

@FUNiman He's done vocals in all kinds of movies and series. I remember seeing his name in a lot of things and then I got to the point where I can usually recognize him as a squeak or squawk in something.

Wow, he now has 1,224 voice credits. I'm really sorry I have to say this, but I think he broke the record of Mel Blanc's "Man of 1000 voices" record. Because he has more voice roles than Mel Blanc now. I mean.... WOW!

@Anthonyiscool64 Nothing to be sorry about. That UNOFFICIAL title isn't meant to actually quantify 1,000 voices/roles, ha ha. Mel will forever have that title because he not only voiced such a huge variety of characters, but he was the one who essentially paved the way for the entire industry. Without him, it'd be a much different place.

So it doesn't matter that Frank's got 10% more roles than Mel. They are/were both extremely successful and prolific in the industry. Mel came first, Frank followed suit. Both very worthy of such a title.
