He was awesome as Mephikes from Sonic 06, his voice made Mephiles sound creepy like he's supposed to be. If they ever bring Mephikes back in any another Sonic games, I want him to be voiced by Dan Green. Man he was badass when he was Mephiles and Mewtwo.

Poor Dan, he lost his wife to childbirth and has now left the dubbing scene entirely due to the scarcity of work in New York. He's a great voice actor and apparently a really nice guy, so hearing about all this stuff happening to him breaks my heart. He deserves so much better.

@Blues There is always work for voice acting everywhere. Voice acting for what we usually picture it as (tv shows, video games, etc) in New York though has been pretty low the past couple of years with Pokemon being one of the few shows that keep it alive. Still, I wish him and his kids the best, he deserves it.

Dan Green isn't very active in voice acting anymore, but he never left. Most NY-based VAs don't get as much work since 4Kids died, and some of them move to other regions to continue their career.
As long as they remain in voice-over, I suppose they'll probably have to take on non-anime-related TMGs, but that's only up for consideration now.

@pokemastanumba1 Most voice actors do more than just do voice overs for cartoons. If you look at Mike Pollock's website, you'll see that he has done commercials, James Arnold Taylor has mentioned that he did voice over for work related stuff, and I think I even heard Maurice LaMarche's voice in a Mazda commercial. Most voice actors would say that if you want to do voice acting, you need to be versatile in things like commercials, audio books and of course, tv shows and video games.

Even after all this time since I've seen Yu-gi-oh!, this guy is still one of the most awesome and inspiring of VA's. Good job for all of this time, and R.I.P. Mical Friedman!

He certainly has a memorable voice, that's good for deeper-registered characters like Yami Yugi, Mewtwo, Gaav, Souji, and Knuckles, but also as more innocent characters like Yugi and Prince Sky.
I hope we continue to hear more from him. I know he's not doing much voice acting at the moment, and that's certainly understandable, but I enjoy hearing his performances.

He was great in Ikki Tousen, really good in all the Slayers, I loved him as Aya in Weiss but my favorite role of his has to be the two Kyo's. Demon Eyes Kyo and Kyoshiro Mibu in Samurai Deeper Kyo. That role was meant for him and he was perfect. On another note; you people posting about this mans wife stop it. You don't know him. YOU ARE IMBECILES!!!!

I feel so sad for Dan Green :(...Can't believe his wife passed away, just ONE MONTH BEFORE NEW YEARS EVE! Who wan't to celebrate their New Year with their recently born child BUT WITH THE WIFE DEAD!!!! T_T Why did this had to happen to him? If I had a choice (not saying that I do, but if I did) I would have given up ALL MY PRECIOUS SONIC GAMES JUST SO HE COULD LIVE HAPPILY WITH HIS WIFE!!!

I'd tolerate and stomach the TPCi dub of Pokemon if Dan got his wife back...and I absolutely HATE the awful crappy music and generic voice acting in the TPCi dub (I'm aware Dan played attl' roles in TPCi dub, but I still HATE TPCi). Veronica is a better voice actor than Dan, but nonetheless Dan is the man and this shouldn't have happened to him. Hope he gets through it. Akmaldanish, I ask you this, Why did the brilliant 4Kids pokemon cast get replaced by crappy pathetic people off the street constipated voice actors after 8 years of making our childhoods?

Dan's wife Michal Friedman died on November 25, 2011, from surgical complications following a c-section delivery of healthy twins--Reverie Vivian Snyder and Jackson James Snyder. @ed: Sorry, but no one beats Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime, though for what its worth he DID voice a character in Video Brinquedo's Transformers knockoff Gladiformers as Patrion Tokal (who was one of the more interesting characters next to Julius Drive)
and yeah, I enjoyed Gladiformers for what it was, it was entertaining and a guilty pleasure for me. But then again I have strange standards, I admit.

The first time I heard Dan's voice was when watching Yu-Gi-Oh when I was five years old. (I still can't believe that was ten years ago!) His roles as Yugi, Knuckles and other characters are just overwhelmingly amazing! Thanks for making Yu-Gi-Oh enjoyable!

Dan Green, even among 4kids haters, is pretty dang popular. Not because his characters were any good, but because he's freakin' DAN GREEN, the Will Smith of 4Kids! He could say 'this is a good sandwich' in his Yugi voice and make it sound cool!
Comparing his and Trav Willingham's voices as Knuckles, you could swear they're practically twin brothers. They're SO identical!
Also, why doesn't the Mephiles character have a voice clip. ANSWER ME, DANGIT!

Ahh Dan Green, You have an amazing voice. I love your Knuckles voice and your Mephiles voice, heh gives me the shivers... Your Vector voice is great too. Heck, every character you played is awesomely voiced. I wish Sega never replaced you, I going to miss every single person of the sonic 4kids cast, you and Jason are my favorite though

Dan did a great job with several characters in the sonic series from 2003-2010 like Knuckles,Mephiles,Vector and many more including The Ice Cream Man in Apotos (SU) its been a blast :D its just too bad that sega fired him and the whole cast...man im gonna miss him a lot THE HELL EVEN THE WHOLE DAMN CAST XD I WISH HIM GOOD LUCK IN THE NEAR FUTURE :)

Of course, it's entirely possible for him to work with either FUNi or VIZ should he relocate to either one of those places (Dallas or LA, respectively), particularly considering how several VAs travel between different regions to do just that. Doing some non-anime voice-overs should help him out too.
