Happy Birthday B.J. Ward!

Another amazing veteran talent who really shined through in the 80's. If Michael Bell was the "Nolan North" of the 80's then I'd consider B.J. Ward the "Jennifer Hale" of the 80's as like Hale, Ward was the go to action girl VA for that era.

My favourite role of hers is as Scarlet in G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero. She's just perfect in the role making her feisty, tough, strong willed, commanding and she had great chemistry with Michael Bell's Duke.

I also really liked her performances as Wonder Woman, Bizzaro Wonder Woman, Princess Allura, Witch Haggar, Velma Dinkley, Betty Rubble, Mayor Waters, Connie Hauser, Betty Ross, Alicia Masters, Lady of the Lake and Master Alchemist.

It's a shame she wasn't in Transformers, I like to think she would've been perfect as Strongarm had she existed back in the 80's.

It's also cool she was married to the late and great legendary voice director Gordon Hunt and is the mother of Helen Hunt. My mind was blown when I realized they were a family.

I like to think of her as The Grey DeLisle/Tara Strong of 1980's Animated Series.

Happy birthday B.J. Ward!!!

IMO, she was perfect as Scarlett, Wonder Woman, Jayna, Betty Ross and Alicia Masters, and she was also pretty good as Medusa. I also enjoyed her as Cyrene in the 1988 Superman cartoon.

My favorite role of hers is Allura in Voltron. I know she played Velma but I did not know she was Judy Jetson and Betty Rubble too. She was also in a PS1 game called Alundra 2 as princess Alexia she was great in that too. Very talented and underated

I know of at least two young women in my area who are named Jana after Jana of the Jungle. When a mother will name her daughter after an animated character, that character has touched the heart. Kudos to B.J. Ward, the late Doug Wildey, and all the other talents behind Jana.

I saw BJ perform years ago in a small cabaret club in West Hollywood. I saw Helen Hunt and Sarah Jessica Parker there also, but I did not know BJ was Helen's stepmom!

BJ did a song in which she performed many of her popular voiceover characters! She also performed an opera aria that was fantastic.

Is that a current picture, if so she has aged beautifully.

@Music Meister It's a few years old, but she looks pretty much the same now (she made a recent Voltron appearance at a convention). I agree that she looks fantastic for her age.

She really needs to be in more stuff. It's a shame she's not quite as active as she used to be.
