Happy Birthday Alan Young!

How awesome is that he's turning 96 today, it really is. I think he's absolutely perfect as Scrooge McDuck so perfect that even know at his old age, he's still able to bring so much energy to the role he's been doing these last 30 years. My favourite performances of Alan's as Scrooge has to be in both DuckTales and Mickey's Christmas Carol.

also it's interesting to see that he voiced in the Battle of the Planets dub of Gatchaman.

Happy birthday Alan Young!!!

He was fantastic as Keyop and 7-Zark-7 in Battle of the Planets. Also, I enjoyed him as Mr. Frump in the Spider-Friends cartoon and as the Cyclops Computer in the 1982 Hulk cartoon. He also had a lot of amazing radio roles.

You can tell that he's aged in his voice, but he still has a great sense of energy in his performance.

Oh gosh, I hope this man will live on forever. I want him to voice Scrooge again in the 2017 reboot so bad. No one can possibly replace Alan

@HyperVoiceActing I do wonder though if (similar to Harry Shearer recently returning to The Simpsons), that Disney might change their minds about casting in the reboot. Especially after hearing what the fans have to say.

And since people are living a lot longer these days, I hope Alan Young is one of those individuals. I wanna hear him voice Scrooge McDuck (in many projects, not just the 2017 DuckTales reboot) for several more years!

@Mrkidd1994 And maybe June Foray will hopefully still be casted as Magica de Spell.

He was born in North Shields. That's in the town Newcastle where I was born. If he lives up to 100, I'll be pretty damn amazed.

I'm amazed. Not sure if he'll make it to 100 years old, but I hope June Foray does. Hopefully he'll survive for DuckTales Remastered 2.

@CuriousUserX90 I hope they both make it to 100! I'd love to work with Alan on a Disney cartoon where he voices Scrooge McDuck!

He could leave us any day now and I'd miss him. Even in his old age, all these years later, he still performs the role of Scrooge masterfully in "Ducktales: Remastered." Such a great talent.

He is my favourite voice for Scrooge McDuck. Besides Bill & Will, I can't think of any1 who could do Scrooge's voice. Hopefully the day doesn't of finding a new Scrooge doesn't come soon.
