Apparently, HE is "Adam" on the show Forever!!! I'm kicking myself for not figuring that out earlier!! His VOICE should have been a dead giveaway!! Still, I'm really liking his role on the show so far (when he does appear at least).

I saw him in an episode of Castle a while back. I'm thinking to myself, "Hey it's Iron Man!!!" Though, one thing I noticed while watching is that he used his normal voice(which is raspier) in his earlier performances as Iron Man (Marvel Anime), but seemed to lighten it up a bit in later performances. It's not a HUGE difference, but it's noticeable.

I re-watched episodes of SHSS and forgot how much I liked him as Hawkeye(shame he only appeared 3 times), and that was before I knew he played Iron Man. Personally, I feel he did better as the former than the latter, but one can blame the voice direction he gets for that. Anyone find it kind of funny that a "parody" series like SHSS manages to have better direction(most of the time) than AA?

A shame about Pasdar. I like his Hawkeye, but I feel that he is miscast as Iron Man.

I always hope that Troy Baker should voice Iron Man and Pasdar should voice Hawkeye again IMO.

I don't see why a lot of people don't like his Iron Man. I think it's pretty good.

@Ross123 The general consensus seems to be that he's inconsistent in his performance and falls flat in some line deliveries. However, he has been noted to improve under certain direction.

I think Adrian is perfectly capable of voice acting, as seen with Hawkeye. He just gets miscasted and/or stuck with poor direction all the time.

@Nightmare Crusher

Yes, I agree with this. He is actually shown to portray Iron Man much better in the Iron Man Anime than in the Avengers Cartoons, possibly because of the direction that show is given. (in case any of you special snowflakes where wondering, the direction in the iron man anime is REALLY good IMO)

When I heard this guy in LEGO Marvel, I thought he wasn't snarky enough to be Iron Man. Maybe that's because I love Robert Downey Jr.'s so much though.

ADMINISTRATIVE NOTE: Enough of the hating, please. We get it, some people are upset that he's Iron Man. Some people aren't a fan of his voice-acting. But this is his BTVA profile, where people can DISCUSS his roles in a civilized manner.

Any additional pejorative comments that aren't backed up by polite and reasonable explanation will not be tolerated. BTVA tries to maintain a professional atmosphere, and it'll take effort from all parties to keep that up.

Honestly, I don't mind him as Iron Man. I don't hate him but I don't love him either. I feel he improved somewhat in Lego Marvel, but I still honestly prefer Eric Loomis, Marc Worden, Matthew Mercer, and even Jason Griffith. Of course, let's not forget Robert Downey Jr. What's interesting about Adrian is how youthful he sounds when he's 48 years old. Granted, there are several other people that qualify there.

Can I ask what the **** is wrong with this dude as Iron Man!?!? I get that that everybody has an opinion but jesus christ I see almost no good comments about him!? I think he's a really good choice no lie *ready for the fire*

@Dark_Fiction I think people are starting to warm up to him, actually, relatively speaking. Will he ever be everyone's favourite? No. Will he ever lead the polls in the Iron Man/Tony Stark VC? No. But I think most of the hate stems from people thinking that Adrian kicked Eric Loomis off of the Iron Man throne, and now that the hate is subsiding and Adrian seems to be improving, there's a lot less negativity.

@Dark_Fiction I never disliked him personally, I just found him to be on the bland side in terms of Iron Man voices. Even back before A:EMH was replaced by AA when he did the anime that was my opinion. The switch didn't change how I felt there but he's alright in the role. Honestly I think more hate for him my come from the fact that Marvel keeps using him on projects so fans feel like they're stuck with him so they lash out.

@GothamRed Isn't voice reprisals a good thing though? Or in Marvel case is that a different story?
TheVengeanceKnight
said at 12:22 PM on Thu Nov 7 2013
@Dark_Fiction They're only good if the actor reprising the role is effective in the role. In Pasdar's case, it's the complete opposite.
GothamRed
said at 4:33 PM on Thu Nov 7 2013
@Dark_Fiction It depends on the actor reprising it in most cases.

@TylerMirage what I don't get about this whole thing is while i do like Pasdar as the character, and I do like they're utilizing him, I never got why people were sick of him being shoved down their throats, when say Kevin Conroy or George Newbern have been playing Batman and superman so long. I know Pasdar isn't nearly on the same caliber that they are but still it kind of confuses me the idea that people are sick of him being shoved down their throats when many other super hero shows have done the same thing
GothamRed

@skeletonking1234 Like I said how people react to someone being used continuously really depends on the actor.
TheVengeanceKnight
said at 9:13 PM on Tue Nov 12 2013
@skeletonking1234 Again, it's because Conroy and Newbern are effective in their roles, while Pasdar isn't.

@Dark_Fiction I think Marvel is a different story as a lot of people (excluding myself) dislike Adrian as Iron Man & keep using him. Not to mention that a lot of people loved Josh Keaton as Spiderman & Marvel have stopped using him. They did that with a lot of other characters: Green Goblin, Captain America (sort of), Galactus, The Thing, Doctor Doom, Juggernaut etc.

@partymonster411 It's because a lot of people dislike how he's being "shoved" down our throats as Iron Man, and they dislike him as a voice actor in general, so they vote for the generic "Man #1" random bit part character that he played. You know, because it's funny or something... >.>

@SmartyBoyboy Just because Loomis was a hit in one show with Iron Man doesn't mean he'll be a hit in everything with Iron Man.

While I do get everyone's frustration with Marvel shoving Pasdar down their throats, shoving Loomis to that same degree would be just as bad.
TheVengeanceKnight
said at 8:30 PM on Wed Oct 2 2013
@CatsTuxedo Not really, considering he's excellent in the role while Pasdar was ####.
CatsTuxedo (Moderator)
said at 9:55 PM on Wed Oct 2 2013
@TheVengeanceKnight But that doesn't guarantee he'll do excellently every single time he plays the character. Even good voice actors can come out bad or simply mediocre with the wrong direction; you'll have to admit that not every single instance of Kevin Conroy voicing Batman has been a mind-blower.

And even if that isn't the case, it would get boring hearing just Loomis as the character all the time, especially when there's the unexplored potential of discovering someone who could voice the character even better than Loomis ever could. Even DC has the common sense to let other actors have a go at their flagship characters every now and then.
